How to disable unnecessary System Services [Windows 7]

System Services are those small applications running in the background of each operating system, most of them (named also core services) being responsible for the proper function of the system and its installed applications/softwares. But some of these services are unnecessary, running "on empty" (or pending for certain auxiliary components such as printers, fax machines, routers, etc..) and consuming resources for nothing. Therefore we recommend disabling these services to increase your system performance.
To disable a system service (pay attention! If you’re not familiar with system services you’d better read their description first to make sure you won’t disable vital services for your operating system) follow the steps below:
* open Services (type services.msc in Search program and files in the Start Menu and hit Enter)
* locate the service you wish to disable and double-click on it to open Properties
* in the General tab change the Startup Type to Disable, then click Apply and OK.
Repeat for all the services you want to disable (or if you want to reactivate a service)
Pay attention to what services you disable for not waking up unable to boot the system after that!
Note: This tutorial was made on a Windows 7 Ultimate OS.
